Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus and Smackdown vs. Raw 2008

Over the weekend I have rented both of these games.
Two things you definitely need to know:
1) You DO NOT need to know about Final Fantasy to play Dirge of Cerberus
2) If you have played the previous Smackdown vs. Raw games, the gameplay of this one is almost completely different.

Final Fantasy:
You start the game off as Vincent Valentine, trying to shoot your enemies with a Cerberus Pistol (right after the short scene), and later have to do various side missions to beat the current chapter that you are on. Some of the missions include; helping a little girl and her mother from being captured, fighting off mutant wolves, and protecting the citizens from being killed. Then later in the game, you can pick up more weapons like the Griffon machine gun.

If you like anime games or shooting games (even like Halo or Call of Duty), this game will be perfect for you.

So far, I give this game a 7.5 out of 10!

Smackdown vs. Raw 2008:
For those of you wrestling fans out there, they've come out with another Smackdown vs. Raw!

Featuring the latest roster including ECW superstars like CM Punk, Elijah Burke, and the Sandman. Also, they still have legendary superstars like Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Rock, and Mick Foley (no, none of his other personas).

Also, you can Create a Superstar, Create an Entrance, or Create a Move-Set. You can also play 24/7 mode as a Superstar or a General Manager.

Lastly, this game gets an 8 out of 10!

What to buy?
If you have a hard time choosing which game to buy or rent, my choice would be Final Fantasy. I know, you're all asking why I pick Final Fantasy if it has a lower rating. Well, there is one very simple answer for this:

In Final Fantasy, there is a whole adventure and you do many different things. But in Smackdown vs. Raw, all you do is fight in a ring, match after match.

Well, have fun enjoying!

OMG A LONG POST!!! =]

I thought you liked the fighting after fighting. I guess I'll have to tell Anime Lover 1 and Anime Lover 2 that Final Fantasy won out in our house.

Nice post!

Travis, do you think that Final Fantasy VII is for younger kids -- say 9, 10 and 11 or is it violent?

well, there isn't really any blood in the game, it is just all anime violence
