Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus and Smackdown vs. Raw 2008

Over the weekend I have rented both of these games.
Two things you definitely need to know:
1) You DO NOT need to know about Final Fantasy to play Dirge of Cerberus
2) If you have played the previous Smackdown vs. Raw games, the gameplay of this one is almost completely different.

Final Fantasy:
You start the game off as Vincent Valentine, trying to shoot your enemies with a Cerberus Pistol (right after the short scene), and later have to do various side missions to beat the current chapter that you are on. Some of the missions include; helping a little girl and her mother from being captured, fighting off mutant wolves, and protecting the citizens from being killed. Then later in the game, you can pick up more weapons like the Griffon machine gun.

If you like anime games or shooting games (even like Halo or Call of Duty), this game will be perfect for you.

So far, I give this game a 7.5 out of 10!

Smackdown vs. Raw 2008:
For those of you wrestling fans out there, they've come out with another Smackdown vs. Raw!

Featuring the latest roster including ECW superstars like CM Punk, Elijah Burke, and the Sandman. Also, they still have legendary superstars like Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Rock, and Mick Foley (no, none of his other personas).

Also, you can Create a Superstar, Create an Entrance, or Create a Move-Set. You can also play 24/7 mode as a Superstar or a General Manager.

Lastly, this game gets an 8 out of 10!

What to buy?
If you have a hard time choosing which game to buy or rent, my choice would be Final Fantasy. I know, you're all asking why I pick Final Fantasy if it has a lower rating. Well, there is one very simple answer for this:

In Final Fantasy, there is a whole adventure and you do many different things. But in Smackdown vs. Raw, all you do is fight in a ring, match after match.

Well, have fun enjoying!

Guitar Hero 2 (PS2 & XBOX 360)

I recently started playing this and I think it is almost better than Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. There are a lot of songs from "small" bands such as Less Talk, More Rokk, Trogdor, and Jordan. There are also some big hits like Sweet Child o' Mine, Free Bird, and Rock This Town.
Unlike Guitar Hero 3, this game does not have guitar battles, but on the other hand, it does have you favorite character, the Grim Ripper!
I give Guitar Hero 2 a 9 out of 10!!!

Runescape

If some of you video game lovers out there only play on the computer, Runescape is the perfect game for you.

Runescape is online at runescape.com, and it is absolutely free. It is all about the game of survival, set in the mid-evil times.

In Runescape, there are many types of skills. There are Battle Skills such as Magic, Attack, Defense, Strength, and Range. There are also some skills that help you make money, such as Runecrafting (make runes for Magic skill), Mining, Smithing (making armour and weapons), and Cooking.

Later on as you play the game, there are some skills which to have to be a member to use. Becoming a member is quite easy and cheap. If you want to pay by credit card, it costs $5.00 per month, and if you want to pay by cash or PayPal, it costs $5.50 per month.

Also, you can talk to your friends that play through private chat, or talk to all of the other players through public chat and trade with them for the best items and weapons.

Based on what I have experienced with this game, I give it an 8 out of 10!

Guitar Hero 3

This is the best game ever!

First off, you get to play some classic songs like Paint it Black, Rock You Like a Hurricane, Slow Ride, and Hit Me With Your Best Shot. Also you get to play some brand new songs like The Number of the Beast, Through the Fire and Flames, When You Were Young, and 3's and 7's.

Unlike Guitar Hero II, you can rock out against your opponent with battles, using power ups to wear them down to bring you to glory! During Career Mode, there are three opponents you battle against. They are Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Slash (Guns 'n Roses) and Lou (Devil).

If you buy this game for the Xbox 360 or PS3 systems, you can find free downloads of the battles, bonus songs, and much more. Also if you have those systems and the Nintendo Wii, you can go online and challenge other "guitarists" around the globe.

There are many choices of characters that you can buy or choose from the ones pre-selected in the game. Some characters are Axel Steel, Judy Nails, Slash, Metalhead (PS2), Elroy Budvis (PS2), God of Rock (Xbox 360 and PS3), and The Grim Ripper (Xbox 360 and PS3).

In my opinion, this game is addicting, because I got this game at Christmas and I started on easy difficulty, and after two months, I have almost beaten career on expert difficulty. If you have any questions on the game, just post a comment, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I think this game gets a rating of a 10 out of 10!

Are You Ready to Play a Game?!

Hello! I'm Travis and welcome to The Game Challenger!!!!!

I am going to be reviewing the latest and greatest video games out on the market for teens only! I plan on reviewing games like Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock, Jumper: Griffin's Story, Twisted Metal: Head On and Nobunaga's Ambition: Rise to Power and the new games when they come out! Just so you know -- since this is a teen site, I won't be reviewing any "M" rated video games.

I have two video game systems; PS2 and Xbox. Some of my favorite video games I have are Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (PS2), Call of Duty 3 (Xbox), and Brunswick Pro Bowling (PS2). I also have some older games like URBZ: Sims in the City (PS2), Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 (PS2) and occasionally I play Sonic Heroes (Xbox). I like to play mostly Action Games, Sports Games, Music-Related Games, and RPG Games.

That pretty much sums it up and I hope you enjoy!
